Possible rant incoming.

So I have a summer job at Walgreens. They give me really good hours, 40 hours a week sometimes more, and pretty nice pay(like 2ish dollars above minimum wage). Sadly I have to deal with stupid people sometimes. Like today. Today sucked. I spent 30 minutes explaining to a woman that her picture was cropped because it isn't the same aspect ratio. I redid her pictures multiple times showing what I was doing and what was wrong. She didn't get it and got increasingly angry as pictures didn't come out uncropped. I am not sure what miracle she wanted me to perform but it just wasn't happening(I recommended doing a poster and then I can cut out what she wants, but she didn't want to spend the money). Either way, she left.

That was the end of my shift, I wasted all my time on that last person. But there was still a lot of orders left to do. The person covering me came in. I explain everything to her and what is going on with pictures. She is pretty understanding(it is my 3rd time working photo), so that made me feel a little better. I still feel terrible for leaving so much work with her though. Funniest thing was, when some dude ordered some pictures and then exclaims that these aren't his pictures. . . even though, that was he had selected to print. Then he pointed at me and said, he must have messed something up. Now, I would like to point out that I never printed his pictures out, I was helping that last person. So clearly it must be me.

This whole thing just really annoyed me. I just had to tell someone! So guess who that is? That's right! It's you! I really wish I could be an asshole to these people, but I can't. I don't want to loose my job(I work full time during summers winter break here)! I don't think I did anything wrong, or maybe I did. . .

I have had to put up with a lot of bull! I have worked there for nearly 6 years. I have only worked summers and winter break for the last 3 cause I am at college now. I have made it this fart, this one was just particularly annoying.

People always ask me why I studied chemistry and ran off to college and basically didn't smoke/drink/party/sex up my 18-24 y/o period of life. I worked as an oil changer for a summer. That pretty much made me never want to do anything remotely like that ever again. It isn't even about the money or the authority or the fun. It's just to never have to deal with the mouthbreathers in public.

After everything is rung up, she start digging in their purse. Like what the fuck, you thought I'd just give you the shit and let you leave? The purse is bigger than the dufflebag I carried my football pads in back in high school. People have been waiting in line for generations. People have been born, people have died, and she's still rooting around in her fucking purse.

Then she climbs back out, triumphantly clutching a checkbook in her gnarled, shriveled claws. She peers up at me myopically, through trifocals thick enough to be used on the Hubble Space Telescope. "Do you take checks?" she asks in a quavering voice that hides the true malice that lives inside her.

My mind races through several responses - "No, we don't," "I'LL TAKE THOSE CHECKS AND JAM THEM DOWN YOUR PISS-PIPE," straight-up Falcon Punching her into cosmetics, and "CHECKS ARE FOR BILLS YOU MAIL IN NOT THE GODDAMNED MOTHERFUCKING PHARMACY YOU MEATHEADED KNOBGOBBLING SHITSACK" - before settling on forcing out "Of course" through gritted teeth. The next person in line notices I've developed a sudden facial tic, and holds up a magazine like a blast shield.

"Oh, dear....," the 1000 year old demon harpy in front of me chirps, "my pen is out of ink. Can I borrow one?" I picture for a brief cathartic moment using the pen as an instrument of death, first on her and then myself to relieve myself of this anguish, before handing it over. The tic grows more pronounced.

The check finally goes through, and Granny Alzheimer leaves. As the door closes behind her, I realize she stole my fucking pen. Out of habit I grab the first item of the next customer and scan it - the computer doesn't respond. "Heh heh, I guess it's... free... isn't it...? " The next customer's voice trails off as they catch a full glimpse of my face, the face of a man who has snapped and has nothing left to lose.

It's seven hours and forty-two bodies later before police are able to take me down.

People (usually older women) that wait in line, wait until after everything is rung up to then pull out wallet/purse and start fumbling to find their credit cars( or god forbid checks) drive me insane.

I hate the bank. They refused to give me MY cash money because I didn't have a drivers license from a province I left 7 years ago. This wasn't me trying for a loan, or me trying to get another credit card, this was me trying to withdraw my rightfully hard earned CASH from their dumbass. After standing in like 30 minutes too.

....I once met another bank employee on here who agreed with you. However the bank did indeed say that I couldn't get my money until I produced that ID. I live thousands of miles from where that ID was issued.

The kicker was I asked the guy when I was leaving (without my money) if he updated my ID. He said no.

I wanted to kick him in the teeth. I was SO mad.

Sorry I am ranting at you, but this incident just *really* made me mad.

I try my best to make sure every customer leaves happy. Its sounds like the bank you are doing business with is pretty shitty and doesn't focus on its customers.
